This film, fast as it is, represents the most detail I've got on-screen per square inch. Every cast member and extra IS SOMEONE from history. Obvious or not. Earhart, Dean, Lincoln, Shakespear, Chuck Berry, Napolean, Pancho Villa, Mark Twain, Cleopatra, Isabelle of Castille, Marie Curie, Queens and Kings, Soldiers and Socialites. Each based on a historical figure, packing a million biopics into one.
But despite the technical challenge, I wanted this party to be fun, not stuffy, a bit messy and wild. Shot by Rodrigo Prieto and aided by massive costume, prosthetics, hair and makeup teams listed below in the credits. Too many people -- and beyond that, we added a final layer of facial warping VFX to land each look, just as it should be. All for no one to truly notice, except for us, the creators of this affair.
Mexico City continued to wow, as we shot in the courtyard of the first hospital in the Americas. 1500's. With an all local Design team lead by Roberto Bonelli and aided by amazing paper mache and sculpture artists. And all marched forward into this chaos by my good friend and AD, Kate Greenberg.
