STATUS is a social disease. The craving, comparing, and showing, that is at the heart of a realm of desire. It's easy to call out status seekers, but there are subtle aspects of this aspirational 'chasing’ that we all fall victim to.  In this film, we go deep into Status -- unpacking the status we are often ‘sold’, and ask if a ‘healthy’ concept of status could exist. One where we find meaning, and worth, in our ability to connect with family, friends, and ourselves.

This production was blessed by the 24/7 team in Barcelona and the beloved creatives at BBH. Who, all on-site, were the best, most fun, pop-up family one could hope for. The last showdown before Covid shifted the landscape of productions.

Shot across six days, with the support of an amazing team, including Phillip Le Sourd, Buki Ebiesuwa , and Marco Puig, we captured something I feel I have strived for since starting into commercials. A sense of intangibility, freedom, and sophistication of form. Hank Corwin and Luke Lynch, edited the film as a team, handing the cuts back and forth to create a layered, textured understanding of the material. This intense working of the footage was a joy to experience and that brought that feeling of ‘fever craving’ to the opening.

The final film was meticulously finished by Jamm, Damion, and Sonic Union, and frankly would never have been completed if it were not to the persistence of Sam Kilbreth.
